Activation of surfaces
Additional to our technology of manufacturing high temperature composites, like KOMPOSIT-C, KOMPOSIT-S etc., we can apply electrical conductive copper, silver, or gold coatings.
These metal layers are built on our KOMPOSIT materials in a thermal process and show the same temperature constancy as the corresponding metals. You get fiber system ceramics with synthetic character and electric and high frequency conductive surfaces.
This is important, because electrons are moving more to metal surfaces if short wave frequencies are used (UHF-SHF, microwave, radar).
Applications:
• Light weight antennas with outstanding mechanical stiffness and high efficiency,
• Electrical conductors on high temperature insulators,
• Light weight construction absorbers for electro smog and high frequency, with high mechanical and thermal solidity,
• Ultraviolet and corrosion resistant high frequency installations and antenna systems
Insulating surfaces
We use a similar technology to disconnect the current from the insulating surface. We apply a Al2O3 coating over KOMPOSIT-C (carbon fiber reinforced preceramic) to prevent carbonization in thermal processes.
Applications:
• Disconnecting electric streams in high temperature atmospheres,
• Passivation of the surface while thermal processing metal parts,
• Extraction from highly pure materials in thermal processes,
• Support for thermal processing
